Accessing the GayBiWorlds chat is a privilege and not a right, therefore we ask that you observe and follow the below rules to ensure a pleasant chatting experience for all users.



The Rules:


1. Follow the main dAmn rules.

Follow the rules set by dAmn. If you do not follow them, we have the right to report you.


2. Watch the group.

Please watch the club (a.k.a – this account). We do understand that you may be in the closet, or not comfortable watching this group, and that is okay. But if you want to see member artworks, chat updates, contests, or other updates please watch it.

You no longer have to put the icon or name in your journal.


3. Age

You have to be 13 to join deviantart due to the Child Internet Protection Act. Anyone that is found being under the age of 13 will be banned from GBW and reported to dA Admins! Anyone found helping them will be banned from GBW.


4. Be polite.

Be polite to fellow users, regardless of disagreements or personal matters. Furthermore, be polite to your moderators; they are they to help as volunteers.


5. Profanity.

You are allowed to use profanity but not in excess. This is to be defined as follows:
a) Every other word in a sentence
b) More than three words in a single sentence
c) the only word used in a sentence

If a chat operator sees that you are in violation of this rule, you will be kicked from the room. If there are multiple violations of this rule, it will result in a ban from GBW.


6. No Personal Information.

Do not give out personal information (as per the official dAmn chat rules). This includes IM screennames, First/Last Name, or anything of the sort. Such is to be done within the context of a note. Any violation will result in a kick; multiple violations may result in a ban and possible reporting to the dAmn Senior Operatives.


7. English Only!

#GayBiWorlds is an English Only chat room. While there may be commonalities in other languages between users, #GayBiWorlds is not the place to explore or practice them. There will be one warning concerning this rule, and any abuse of this rule after being warned will result in a kick from the chat. No exceptions.
Mods/Admins may be excused from this rule if a guest is in the chat and will not understand English, they may use another language, but only as a last resort.


8. Do Not Advertise.

Advertisement of other rooms is not allowed; doing this will result in an automatic kick. If you must talk about a room and it is not advertising, use abbreviations like: GBW (standing for #GayBiWorlds) or NAL (#NewAnimeLover), or send a note to the user. Advertising is to be interpreted as any mention of the full title of a non-affiliated chat.


9. Respect the various groups.

In #GayBiWorlds there are several different groups which all serve different purposes. Respect each and everyone one of them. While questions concerning what they stand for or what they represent are acceptable, you are not to ridicule any group. Any violations of this will result in a kick. If you do have questions concerning a group, click on the link that represents it; you will be redirected to a Wikipedia page corresponding with the group.


10. Time-Out

If you are silenced (or put in Time-Out), that will last for a period of ten minutes. Any further violations may result in a ban after that. You MUST be in the chat for the ten minutes. Leaving and coming back to the chat resets the timer.


11. One warning kick system.

For any violation of any rules here, unless otherwise stated, there is one warning and if there are any further violations of that rule it will result in a kick.


12. No Rape talk

There is to be no rape talk in #GayBiWorlds/ Any rape talk will result in an immediate kick and, if this rule is violated three times by a user, there will be a ban placed upon them. While we sympathise with any rape victims, there are better forums for discussion of this topic. There are NO exceptions to this policy; referencing it as the “R-Word” will also constitute an offense.


13. Keep an open mind.

Everyone is different. No two people on this planet that are exactly the same. Also, since #GayBiWorlds is a worldwide chat with people from many different orientations and backgrounds, not everyone is going to see eye to eye on every issue.

You may debate various topics, but under no circumstance should it devolve into an argument. If a chat moderator sees any party in an argument, they will warn the parties to stop. If the parties do not heed this warning, they will be kicked.


14. Follow the instructions given by the chat moderators.


The Moderators are there to help; if they ask you to stop doing something, please comply. Being rude or impolite to moderators under any circumstance will result in a kick.


15. No harassment.

Do not harass other users, whether it is for sexual purposes or otherwise. For all intents and purposes, harassment is defined as the following:

1. to disturb persistently; torment, as with troubles or cares; bother continually; pester; persecute.

2. to trouble by repeated attacks, incursions, etc., as in war or hostilities; harry; raid.

Any violation of this rule will result in a kick or ban, depending on the offense.


16. Display.

You are allowed to post your work to get people to comment on it, and them to tell you what they think. It is not spam if it’s just posted once or twice. If posted more than that within one hour, it will be considered spam. One warning will follow, and any further violations will result in a kick.


17. No Net Speak.

You are not to speak in Text Speak (“u”, “ur”, “y r u”, et cetera) in the chat. After a warning, you will be kicked if you continue to violate this rule. 1337 or Leet speak is not permitted either.

You are permitted to use the following: lol, omg, lmao and other net based acronyms.
An example of bad use: “ur gr8”.


18. Trolling

For the sake of purpose, if you are suspected of trolling (the act of cyber harassment and bullying) steps will be taken to verify. If such is the case, you will be banned, no exceptions. Trolling is an unacceptable offense and cannot be appealed.


19. No spamming.

Spam includes, but is not limited to elongated words (Ex. "oooooohh"), un-needed use of bolding (as defined by the highest chat admin/operative(s) at the time of bolding), mass caps (more than one word in caps), compound mass caps (Ex. "IHATEYOU. or LEAVEMEALONE.") and repetitive posting.

A lot of people are confused about what's considered spam in GBW. We consider elongated words and massive caps to be spam. Also, if you continuously post the same emote or thumb, it can be considered spam as well. Our elongated words have a max of 3 extra letters before it's considered spam. (Punctuation also is included with elongated words.) Furthermore, you are permitted three words of ALL CAPS in a sentence before it is considered spam.

Elongated Words: ooooohhhhhh; seeeeeeee; hiiiiiiiiii; .........; !!!!!!; ???????
Accepted Words: ooohhh; seee; Hiii; ...; !!!; ???
Massive Caps: OMG, ARE YOU SERIOUSLY DOING THAT?!
Accepted Caps: ARE YOU SERIOUSLY?!


20. Grouping

You can tell us which group you belong in, or you will be placed in a group of our choice. If you do not speak within ten minutes, you will be kicked for idling, as defined by the next rule.


21. No Guest Idling

A guest may not idle for more than ten minutes. If a guest is idling for more than ten minutes, they can be kicked without warning.


22. Multiple Accounts

If you are banned on one account that means you are banned on all your accounts. If you are caught on a different account, and one of your accounts are banned, then that account becomes banned too without warning.


23. No Cybering or Sexual talk.

There is to be no cyber sex (utilising text in order to simulate sexual encounters) or sexual talk (discussions pertaining to sexual encounters or actions you would initiate with another user) or linking, discussing, talking about porn sites, or any sexual things at all, in the chat. Any violation of this rule will result in a kick without warning and/or ban.


24. No Personal Matters.

This chat room is to be a place of enjoyment for all users. If you have personal problems with another user or a chat operative, you are to discuss it in another means that does not prohibit the flow of discussion for all users. Any violation of this rule will result in a warn, followed by a kick if further violation occurs.

25. Do not use the Ignore Command.

For the users that can use the /ignore command in dAmn this is not acceptable to use in GayBiWorlds! If you are found using it on a member you will be warned, and if you do not /unignore then, you will be kicked. If you are found using it on a Mod or higher you will be kicked WITHOUT a warning, then noted about any other punishment.


26. No Antikick.

If found using this command you can be kicked without warning. If you use this command after being warned the chat operatives have right to ban you.


27. Roleplaying.

This is usually the most confusing rule of this chat room. Yes, roleplaying is allowed, though not extensively. The chat room is mostly for chatting, not roleplaying. You can roleplay simple things. (Examples are below.) Any extensive roleplaying will result in a warning, then a kick.

~Simple Roleplaying: *Romaji snuggles and hugs robynsbrowneyes.

~Extensive Roleplaying: *Romaji strolls over to robynsbrowneyes, gives her a great big hug, stares into her eyes, giving her an evil smirk then starts to tickle her all over. “You will bow before my tickle master might!”


28. Retaining Chatroom Order.

Mods and Admins reserve the right to kick, silence, and/or ban a user if they think they are purposely trying to cause problems in the chat by trolling, talking about illegal topics, topics not allowed on deviantART, or anything we think would interfere with the chat environment.


29. General Chat Order.

This is not a dating chat. Therefore, anyone primarily seeking a dating relationship in the context of a chat will be warned, kicked, and banned if the offenses continue. No exceptions.



The appeal process:


If you feel that you were unfairly banned or kicked by a chat operative, copy the screen (by using the Prt Scrn button on your keyboard and pasting it into paint or another program and uploading it to your scraps) and send a note to =Romaji containing both a link to the screenprint and a description of what happened. If you are found to be the victim of unfair abuse of power, you shall be reinstated as a user.

If you are still found in violation of the rules and you take harassment to the personal pages and notes of dA users, you will be reported to the dAmn staff.
